About FOLKS

Friends Of Lower Kenduskeag Stream (FOLKS) is a volunteer group formed in 2015 to help maintain and beautify the Kenduskeag Stream Trail which connects Bangor's waterfront, downtown, and scenic stream valley. They meet up for a monthly trail day on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8-9:30am at the trailhead at 262 Harlow Street.

Attend a Trail Day

Come lend a hand during one of our monthly trail days on the 3rd Saturday of every month, 8:00am to 9:30am, from April until November. We neet behind Penquis at 262 Harlow Street.

Habitat Restoration

Thanks to a grant from Bangor Greendrinks, we've begun a Habitat Restoration Project  to control invasive plants and restore native species along the Kenduskeag Stream. Learn more about the project, including how to sponsor, by visiting the project page.
