Bangor Beautiful is working with the City of Bangor to refurbish the city's 3 Welcome to Bangor signs located along key gateways to our city: crossing the Penobscot from Brewer, entering Bangor on Route 2 from Hermon, and departing the airport on Union Street.

Each sign will be temporarily repainted until the signs can be completely updated with more modern graphics.

Along with refurbishment, our Trees & Bees Committee is planting native plants at each to beautify the signs and serve as an example of how to create pollinator habitat.

We have completed first 2 signs thanks to financial support from Varney Agency & Bangor International Airport .
